Mars United Commerce is currently seeking a Manager, Ecommerce to create impact and help support one of our agency’s largest clients in navigating the dynamic, fast-changing ecommerce landscape and implementing their ecommerce vision across their core customers including Walmart, Kroger, Amazon, Target, and Pet Speciality retailers. Candidates must reside in a commutable distance to one of Mars United Commerce’s hub locations: Detroit, Chicago, Cincinnati, New York, Denver, Minneapolis, Bentonville, Dallas, Seattle or Nashville. Bentonville preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Audit brands and their competitors’ digital shelves and provide analysis and content update recommendations
- Advise clients with BIC digital content strategy and optimized product page content on key ecommerce platforms like Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and other leading online retailers and marketplaces
- Be the subject matter expert for ecommerce content and retailer requirements and continuously assess the definition of best-in-class content for client-specific categories across ecommerce platforms
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure there is end-to-end understanding of processes, strategy, and the role of ecommerce content
- Partner with the internal creative team to ensure content strategies are developed according to project briefs and meet retailer requirements
- Project manage the creation of compelling product page content assets (image carousel, BTF content and Brand Store) from ideation through completion
- Deploy digital shelf content to retailer.com sites via 3rd party and retailer-owned toolsets (i.e., Salsify, Syndigo, Item 360, Vendor Central) and perform on-going monitoring and troubleshooting as needed
- Coordinate and continuously optimize ecommerce content workflows, technology, and partnerships to ensure content for new products, content refreshes and enhanced content is competitive and delivered on time to clients
- Partner with the Sr. Director, Ecommerce and client teams to develop timelines aligned to content launch plans and implement efficient methodologies to speed the time to market while also delivering market-leading quality
- Work within platforms and workbenches managing product pages and technical details as well as troubleshooting issues (i.e., Amazon Vendor Central, Salsify, Syndigo)
- Manage content health reporting and content analysis working within the platforms
- Identify and track emerging ecommerce product page content trends and requirements (A+ Content, Enhanced Brand Content, Brand Stores), and regularly develop and share educational content for clients and internal agency teams
SKILLSETS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of ecommerce experience at a retailer, CPG or marketing or advertising agency.
- Must have experience with managing digital shelf content on Amazon.com, Kroger.com, Target.com, and Walmart.com
- Must have experience with content deployment and syndication using 3rd party and retailer-owned toolsets (i.e., Salsify, Syndigo, Item 360, Vendor Central)
- Good understanding of data and ecommerce analytics
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be self-starter with a deep sense of accountability, creativity, resourcefulness, and a desire to collaborate and step in for the good of the team and the agency.
- Dynamic personality and leadership skills, able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences
- A wealth of industry knowledge including current trends, consumer packaged
- goods and business philosophies around ecommerce
- Strategic thinking in the ecommerce space
- Sound decision making skills based in agency, client, and industry knowledge
- Passion about business and dissatisfaction with status quo – always thinking of ways to improve and grow
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail
- Superior verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Some travel is required

The base salary for this position may range from $85,000 to $95,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
