We are seeking a Temporary HR Benefits Manager for a 6-month assignment to primarily focus on benefits, leave management and compliance across the Mars network of offices. ADP experience is desired. This person will need to commute to the Southfield, MI office on a regular basis.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage employee benefit administration for all health and welfare benefits.
- Review and process 401K request through Voya portal, including but not limited to:
roll overs, 401K loans, and distributions. - Review and react to weekly benefit discrepancy file from benefit providers.
- Manage full Leave of Absence process including but not limited to: FMLA paperwork,
STD Paperwork, LTD Paperwork, LOA calc sheet, etc. - Manage relationships with benefit brokers, benefit carriers and benefit vendors.
- Review new hire benefit guide experience and provide updates to ensure a positive
Martian experience. - Maintain benefit enrollments in ADP, reviewing for accuracy and making appropriate
updates. - Continue 401K Automation process, connecting Voya and ADP for a seamless 401K
experience. - Process HSA employer contributions through Bank of America.
- Review and process time off requests greater than 5 days.
- Create monthly PTO reports for global leadership
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human
resource federal and state requirements - All other duties as assigned
What You Bring to Us:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- Proficiency with ADP is desired
- Affiliations with organizations to aid in the continued learning and practice of
effective Human Resource management - Strong people skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
- A “do whatever it takes” attitude
- A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources,
including employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance
