We're seeking a Specialist, Media Strategy. Candidates must be within a commutable distance to the Mars United New York City or Detroit office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Flawlessly execute best in class national consumer promotions / shopper media campaigns and manage client’s media budgets and campaign performance 
  • Management of budgets, ensuring all client facing documents are accurate, and all vendor savings are documented for financial reporting 
  • Weekly client meetings to review and reconcile campaign actuals vs plan and other key metrics 
  • Execution of consumer promotion tactics including experiential, sweeps, sampling, digital coupons, rebates, chatbots, influencers, etc 
  • End to end campaign management activating final approved plans by partnering with internal teams and 3P shopper media vendors 
  • Cross functional collaboration in ensuring all vendor timelines & deliverables are met  
  • Management of media program trackers and timelines 
  • Management of 3rd party retail media vendor partners  
  • Negotiating contract rates (both annual and program-specific) 
  • Monitoring of vendor landscape (identifying new partners or existing partners with new capabilities) and commercializing information to internal teams 
  • RFP vendors and make recommendations and awarding business 
  • Have clear understanding of campaign set-up, performance and reporting structure and clearly set and communicate performance expectations with internal and external teams 
  • Ongoing campaign monitoring and management and working with vendors to identify and implement campaign optimizations 
  • Responsible for maintaining all of client’s media investment in back end systems Report back on campaign performance. Collaborate with vendor and team to provide campaign data, insights and strategic recommendations based on client objectives, media strategy and results 
SKILLSETS REQUIRED: 
  • Extremely high attention to detail 
  • 1-3 years’ experience working with media and negotiation 
  • Strong ability to work in Excel and comfortable with numbers, pivot tables and reporting 
  • Ability to organize & prioritize workload to manage timelines, budgets and deliverables for self, client, vendor and internal team 
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and intrapersonal skills 
  • Collaborative with willingness to listen and learn 
  • Sound decision making skills based on industry, agency and client knowledge 
  • Confident negotiator 
  • Industry & media knowledge, particularly in retail media and consumer promotions

Compensation Range: $53,200 - $67,200 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
